When you walk into our
restaurant we want you to feel like you are at
home. Pizza D.O.C. is a family run
eatery, owned by sisters Diana and Carol
Himmel. The two fell in love with cooking and
feeding people in their mother’s north side
Chicago kitchen. They always knew they would
own a restaurant and in 2007, their dream
became reality. On most days you can
find both sisters at Pizza D.O.C., Diana will
likely greet you and Carol will be dishing up
your entrée.
When you order one of our
pizzas you will enjoy a true culinary
experience. Our pizzas are made with the
freshest ingredients and our dough is made
from scratch daily. Our pizzas
are handcrafted and baked in Chicago’s first
ever, wood fired brick oven at 700 degrees.
But, Pizza D.O.C is not
just a pizza place. We have a full second
kitchen where we craft our fresh made
specialty pastas, salads and entrees. We pay
close attention to every detail and
ingredient. We strive for perfection and use
only the finest ingredients in each dish we
prepare. But that is only part of our secret.
Every pizza, signature pasta dish, entrée and
salad is made with pride and a dash of love.
